Match 1: Nick Westgate defeated The Canadian Destroyer with a Tornado
Unprettier. The Canadian Destroyer jumped at every chance to wave the
Canadian flag which did not sit well with our great fans in Killingly.
However, Westgate remained focused and pulled out the victory.
Match 2: "Revolution" Chris Venom defeated "Straight Edge" Brian Fury
with a Roll Up. During the contest, Venom repeatedly went to the floor
in order to distance himself from Fury. Unfortunately, Fury was thrown
into the ring post and Venom took advantage of this miscue, rolling up
Fury and holding the tights for added leverage.
Match 3: Owen Graichen defeated "Rocket" Fred Curry Jr. with a Small
Package. Curry spent more time yelling at the fans than concentrating
on Graichen. Graichen was able to counter a suplex with a small
package in this competetive match.
Match 4: Guy Alexander, Slash Sullivan and Mr. X defeated Giant & Brian Nunes with a Lungblower.
Although the odds favored Mr. X and company, the Giant and Nunes (with Giant's Manager Henry Conley) put up a valiant effort. During the frey, Ian Conley appeared on the video screen, distracting Giant. In the mean time, Mr. X removed his mask, revealing himself to be none other than Ian Conley. Conley then brutalized his former partner and best friend, the Giant as Ian's father Henry, distracted referee Dan Tanaka.
Match 5: "Epic" Mike Bennet defeated "Trouble Walking" Thom Kane with
the Awesome Coolness. During the match, referee Tony S. was knocked
down when Kane lifted Bennet for a slam. Kane was able to driver
Bennet and his manager, Guy Alexander to the mat with a double chokeslam, but the referee didn't see it. As Kane was occupied with helping the referee
to his feet, Bennet hit his finishing maneuver.
Match 6: Rocco Abruzzi defeated "Bad Karma" Christian Angers with a
Brainbuster to capture the EPW TV Title. Anger's manager Marshal
McNeill was locked up in a dog cage before the match. Angers certainly
could have used his assistance as the former champion was unable to
overcome Abruzzi's offense.
Match 7: Josh Roode & Ryan Johnson defeated EPW Tag Team Champions The
Coolers by disqualification. Just as the challengers were about to pin
Anthony Pacitto following a double dropkick, Slash Sullivan ran down to save the champions from losing their titles. Even though Roode & Johnson were unable to capture the tag belts, they issued a challenge for United We Slam.
Match 8: Dan Freitas defeated Kongo in a Last Man Standing Match with
a Leg Drop onto a Steel Chair. Kongo dominated most of the contest,
weathering Freitas' strongest blows. However, Freitas was able to
outsmart his massive opponent by blinding Kongo with his handler's
mask. Repeated shots with the steel chair were barely enough to keep
Kongo down for a 10-count.
Match 9: Ray Diamond and Shaya Shabo defeated The Winter Hill Gang in a TLC Match for the #1 Contendership to the EPW Tag Team Titles. Before the brutal battle started, the Winter Hill Gang informed the crowd that PC had been in an "accident" and would not be able to compete. Diamond introduced Shabo and the two teams fought from pillar to post. After a wicked crash from the top rope, Ray miraculously managed to pin his opponent. This violent brawl is a must see for any EPW fan.
Match 10: "Brutal" Bob Evans defeated Scott 2 Hotty to capture the EPW
World Title in a Steel Cage Match. Evans made it known that he would
go to any length to capture the World Title and even choked Scotty with a chain. After Scott 2 Hotty hit the worm, he attempted to
escape the cage, but Kongo slammed his head with the steel door,
allowing Evans to escape over the top. Kongo continued to attack Scotty in the cage when Evans asked for Kongo to bring Scotty
to his feet. Evans then double-crossed Kongo and demanded a match forthe EPW World Title at United We Slam.
